Evaluation of clinical trials for affected people with COVID-۱۹ in Qorveh city

Background and Aim : COVID-۱۹ is an infectious disease caused by Corona virus. Many studies have shown that Corona virus can cause significant changes in clinical trials and hematology of patients. Symptoms of COVID-۱۹ vary from person to person, but often include fever, cough, headache, fatigue, respiratory problems, and loss of smell and taste. At least one-third of infected people do not have significant symptoms. Accordingly, the present study aimed to access the effects of COVID-۱۹ on the experiments of a number of patients.Methods : In this descriptive-analytical study, among patients affected by Corona virus, they admitted to Shahid Beheshti Hospital in Qorveh, ۶۰ patients were randomly selected and the results of their biochemistry and hematology tests were analyzed by SPSS ۲۰.۰ software. Pearson correlation were used to compare the means and the relationships.Results : Results showed that most of the patients were in the age range of ۶۱ to ۷۰ years old. Cr level in ۶۰% of patients was less than one and had a significant difference compared to other groups (P<۰.۰۱). Also, the frequency of Na indicates that ۶۰% of patients showed less than ۳۵ mEq/l, which is less than the normal range (۱۳۵-۱۳۵). About ۸۴% of people had a K level of ۴.۱ to ۵ (normal range =۳.۶-۵.۲). More than ۷۰% of people have WBC less than ۵,۰۰۰ per µl. RBC in ۵۰% of patients was ۴.۱ to ۵. About ۱۷% of patients had higher than normal RBC. The results showed that PLT in ۴۵% of people was ۲۰۰.۱-۳۰۰ (×۱۰۹ per liter). The level of MCV in ۴۰% of patients was higher than normal. Most patients (۸۰%) had MCH from ۳۵ to ۳۱.۵ (g/dL). Results showed a positive linear relationship between increasing the age and WBC (R² = ۰.۰۷۷). Also, with increasing age, PLT showed a high decreasing (R² = ۰.۲۵۷). Conclusion : In this city, most of the people affected by Corona virus and were hospitalized,(that most of them was women) was old people (۶۰-۷۱ years old) and with increasing age of patients, the amount of PLT decreased and the rate of MCV and MCH increased.
