Required ontologies for a social networking website for building projects

Many individuals with diverse areas of specialization from different organizations are involved in construction projects. These individuals need to form teams and work together to complete the project successfully. Team members need to communicate and exchange data for this purpose. Construction projects usually take years to finish, and individuals from different organizations participate in the project at different times and from different locations. This makes the data communication among project participants difficult, which makes the construction process inefficient. Some of these problems are addressed with the advancement of building information modeling (BIM) technologies. However, current BIM models are usually created by BIM experts, and other project participants cannot easily query the model, add new data to the model, or chat with each other to solve project problems. This paper suggests using a social networking website for this purpose. The social networking website suggested in this paper should be custom programmed for construction projects. This paper defines and discusses the data structure in the website's backend.
