چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: The most prevalent clinical issue affecting newborns is jaundice. Because infants' red bloodcells have a shorter lifespan than those of adults and excrete less bilirubin than adults, bilirubin levels in theblood rise as a result of this condition. Methods: This study is cross-sectional and retrospective descriptive. All newborns treated forhyperbilirubinemia and positive urine cultures resulting from urinary tract infections who were admitted to theneonatal ward of the Children's Hospital in ۲۰۱۶, ۲۰۱۷, and ۲۰۱۶ comprised the statistical population. andcomprised ninety-six individuals. A checklist containing two sections—one for demographic data and the otherfor information on paraclinical testing and information from the examinations in the file—was filled out withinformation about them. Results: youngsters, including ۶۳ (۶۵/۶%) males and ۳۳ (۳۴/۴%) girls, were eligible to participate in the currentstudy, which included ۶۸۳ cases. According to this study, E. Coli and Klebsiella were the most frequent massesthat caused urinary tract infections. Conclusion: The type of urinary tract infection was not significantly correlated with any of the factors studiedin this study, including gestational age, infant age, birth weight, jaundice, and... This finding has been confirmedin numerous other studies, and in certain cases, the results of those studies differ from ours, indicating the needfor more research.
