چکیده مقاله:

Considering the high investment and operation costs, analyzing the reliability of mining machinery is necessary to achieve lean operations and prevent unwanted stoppages. In an open pit mine, drilling as the initial stage of exploitation has a significant role in other stages. The breakdown of drilling machines causes a general delay in the blasting operation. In this paper, the reliability of drilling operation is analyzed using the Markov method. The failure and performance data of four heavy rotary drilling machines in Sarcheshme copper mine of Iran have been used as a case study. The breakdown rate and repair rate of all machines have been calculated using available data. Then, ۱۶ possible operating modes were defined and the probability of the existence of the drilling fleet in each of the states was calculated using Markov theory. The results showed that there is a ۷۷.۲% probability that all machines in the fleet are in operational condition. This means that, including ۳۶۰ working days in a year, the drilling operation is in a secure state in ۲۷۷.۹۲ days.
