چکیده مقاله:

Following the renewal of the global economic and social structure, there has been a change in the concept of urban development .Smart cities, as the future of human cities, a city active in the field of technology, flexibility, sustainability, creativity, and livable in the world, are predicted and are becoming a part of the vision of national governments, because they have emerged with the aim of increasing the quality of life of citizens.The concept of smart cities is currently considered one of the "hottest topics" in the city development, especially in Europe. Cities around the world are promoting and supporting Smart Cities projects that reflect the belief that integrated technology and infrastructure It can increase livability, sustainability, services and competitiveness of cities.The purpose of this article is to examine the experiences of successful smart cities in the Scandinavian area.This research project is a multiple case comparative study, where four European cities from four different countries, have been chosen: Finland , Sweden , Denmark, and Estonia.Also, it focuses on Identifying the success methods and challenges of SmartCities projects.This case-based study seeks to know the characteristics and managerial and executive indicators of successful smart city projects as a tool for presenting successful smart city projects.Therefore, the purpose of this article is to express the concept of smart city in practice from the point of view of public activists, based on the empirically collected materials.
